Went to Dobbies at Wendover; the selection of hardy perennials was dismal; they only stock what's in flower now, rather than plants to establish for later in the season; their awful pop music blares out so intrusively - even outside - that I couldn't think. I won't be back.

The wallington garden centre has always been the place to go for nearly all our garden needs but sad to say I won't be coming back. While in there last time I bought 3 boxes of icing sugar at £1.25 each from the sainsbury section ( CANT BELIEVE THEY HAVE RUINED THE FOOD SECTION LIKE THAT ), only to find later that morning that sainsbury in wallington had them for 69pHave also been told of some high prices on some plants. Sorry my custom is going to a garden centre that cares.

All the plants looked desperately in need of water, what a shame to see dying and dead plants everywhere, especially as plants are already expensive at Dobbies. The customer will probably have to bear the cost of losing this stock.Had scones from the cafe, which were old and dry.Not enough staff on checkouts, the queuing was halfway around the store.

I bought an enclosed packet of gladioli bulbs, when i got them home i found 98% were dried up and useless. i contacted Dobbies head office, who in turn contacted the floor manager at Woodbridge he immediately phhoned me and when i had explained the problem said i could have a full refund. When i returned to the woodbridge centre i found i had left the proof of purchase at home but i was still given a refund with a store card credit.I am very, very satisfied with the exxcellent service.Thank

We used to be regular Woodcote Green customers and usually came away with far more than we intended as a result of the extensive choice of less usual plants, excellent quality and knowledgeable staff. Our last 3 visits since Dobbies took over have been deeply disappointing. Selection much poorer and standard varieties at that, huge quantities of the same common product, little or nothing to tempt a keen gardener. We feel very sorry for the staff who are used to a much better standard. We are looking for alternative places to source our garden products.

I will now only go here if what I want is absolutely not available anywhere else in the country. Our much-loved Woodcote Green has been turned into a faceless, soulless chainstore. It is now no more than a B&Q with a smaller range, higher prices and a slightly different colour scheme.

Things had changed since the last time I visited the shop, the pet store had gone. We were looking for plants and found an assistant who was very helpful and when we came to the checkout the assistant was also helpful.

It’s always a pleasure wide choice to buy and pleasant knowledgeable staff.

Happy that Dobbies has been open so I could use my time to work in the garden during lockdown sunny days.
